The LumeDEL Model FP58P is a plastic optical fiber (POF) patch cord that also features a high numerical aperture (NA = 0.58) for optimal optical coupling with LEDs. The FP58P can also operate at higher temperatures (up to 105C) than other optical fibers (80-85C). POF patch cords are more flexible and affordable versus silica, but the useful spectral range is limited to 350-850 nm.
